Last week I got to do an illustration for Bill Simmons’ annual NBA Trade Value column on Grantland- a recurring article I’ve been reading for the better part of a decade! The Lord of the Rings and the NBA playoffs make for strange bedfellows, but my inner 12 year-old had a lot of fun with the pseudo-comic book feel for this one.

Note: This image is slightly different from the one that went to print. There were a few things I wasn’t totally happy with on deadline day, but you can see the original by clicking the link above.

Here are a few simple illustrations I did for The Nit Picker. The Nit Picker is a Boston-area home health care service specializing in the manual removal of head lice. These drawings illustrate different hairstyles that can be worn to reduce the risk of transmitting head lice from person to person. It’s gross and pretty, all at the same time!

The other images are taken from other print and web based jobs I did for The Nit Picker detailing the horrific experiences associated with head lice infestation…
